Mary
Wilson has been a music educator for the past 25 years.
She attended Florida State University
for her undergraduate studies in music education, and received
her Masters of Music Education degree from VanderCook College
of Music in Chicago . Mrs. Wilson began her teaching career
in Lee County , Georgia where she taught middle school band
and assisted the Lee County High School Band for four years.
Following Lee County , she taught in Gwinnett County at Five
Forks Middle School , Shiloh Middle School , and is currently
teaching at Lanier Middle School .
Mrs. Wilson is a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association,
Music Educators National Conference, International Association
of Jazz Educators, National Band Association, Professional Association
of Georgia Educators, and Phi Beta Mu, International Bandmasters
Fraternity. In the past, Mrs. Wilson has organized the GMEA
Middle School All-State Band, served as a GMEA Vice President,
and has hosted various district events and held district level
offices.
Mrs.
Wilson has been recognized as a local Teacher of the Year three
times. She has been a clinician or adjudicator in Georgia ,
Tennessee , and South Carolina . Bands under Mrs. Wilson's instruction
have consistently earned superior ratings at concert band festivals.
The Shiloh Middle School Band performed at the 1996 University
of Georgia Middle School Band Festival , and won the sweepstakes
award at the 2001 and 2002 Southern Star Music Festival. Mrs.
Wilson has also mentored many college student teachers through
the years. In the summer, Mrs. Wilson enjoys teaching at the
Encore Summer Music Camps.
Rudy, her husband, is band director at Brookwood High School
, and they have two children, Katy and Daniel. Katy attends
the University of Georgia, and Daniel attends Brookwood High
School .

Hunter
McRae is entering his seventh year as a music educator.
He attended the University of Georgia for his Bachelors degree
in music education, and he is currently earning his Masters
degree in Educational Leadership from Walden University. Mr.
McRae began his teaching career in Houston, TX. Since that time,
Mr. McRae has taught at Collins Hill High School and is currently
entering his fifth year with Lanier Middle School.
Mr. McRae has been an active percussion educator throughout
his teaching career. Prior to teaching in public schools, he
was both a member and an instructor of the nationally recognized
Santa Clara Vanguard drum and bugle corps. He has also been
a clinician, arranger and adjudicator for percussion programs
in Georgia, Texas, and California. Bands and percussion ensembles
under Mr. McRae’s instruction have consistently earned
superior ratings at contests and festivals.
Mr.
McRae and his wife, Naomi, have recently celebrated the birth
of their new daughter, Bella McRae.

Rachel
Pomeroy has been a music educator for four years. She
has held band positions in Mississippi at DeSoto Central Middle
and High Schools, and in Georgia at Lanier Middle School. At
Lanier, Mrs. Pomeroy teaches sixth and seventh grade band as
well as seventh and eighth grade general music.
Mrs. Pomeroy holds degrees in Music Education from Mississippi
State University and the University of Georgia. She is a member
of the Georgia Music Educators Asssociation and the Music Educators
National Conference. She resides in Flowery Branch with her
husband Billy and their miniature schnauzer, Whitney.
